How to complain to Vinted, step by step
Complain to Vinted in writing
Use Vinted’s online complaints form. Vinted publishes no complaints email. Say what went wrong, what you want back, and keep a copy.
Give them time to answer
There is no legal deadline for Vinted to reply, so give one in writing: name a date, such as 14 days from now, and say what you will do next.
Escalate if they say no
No ombudsman covers Vinted. Ask your card provider for a chargeback, or a Section 75 claim if one item cost over £100 on a credit card, then use the small claims court.

Complaint escalation guide
Is there an ombudsman for Vinted?
Most high-street and online retailers are not covered by an ombudsman. If Vinted will not resolve a faulty-goods or refund complaint, your escalation route is a Section 75 claim or chargeback, then Trading Standards, then the small claims court.
How do you escalate a complaint about Vinted?
If you paid by credit card and the item cost over £100, make a Section 75 claim (or a chargeback on a debit card). Report the trader to Trading Standards through the Citizens Advice consumer helpline, and for unresolved amounts use the small claims court.
Laws that protect you
Consumer Rights Act 2015

Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
14-day cooling-off period for online and distance purchases.
Section 75 Protection
Credit card purchases between £100-£30,000 have joint liability protection.
Tips for Vinted complaints
- Vinted is a peer-to-peer marketplace, so Buyer Protection is your first line - open an issue before the order is marked complete
- If an item never arrives or isn’t as described, report it within the Buyer Protection window so Vinted can refund from the held payment
- Screenshot the listing, the chat, and the tracking before you leave a review or close the order
- If you paid by card and Vinted won’t help, ask your bank for a chargeback on the transaction
- Keep everything in writing - Vinted support is handled through the app and email, not by phone
