Upload Word documents as evidence — finally

You can now upload .doc and .docx files as evidence. Letters, contracts, and written agreements can be analysed directly — no PDF conversion needed.

EvidenceDocumentsUpload

We've added support for Microsoft Word documents as evidence uploads.

What you can now upload

In addition to PDFs, images, and audio, you can now attach:

  • Word documents (.docx and .doc)
  • Any written contract, letter, or agreement your company sent you
  • Correspondence you've already written up in Word

How it works

When you upload a Word file, we extract the full text and images and run the same AI analysis we use for PDFs. The output is the same: key points identified, dates extracted, relevant legal clauses flagged.

Why it took a while

Word document format is genuinely a bit of a nightmare to parse correctly — especially older .doc files and documents with embedded tables, tracked changes, or unusual formatting. We made sure it actually works reliably before shipping it rather than half-doing it.

Other file types we now accept

While we were at it, we also added support for: plain text files (.txt), Rich Text Format (.rtf), and OpenDocument files (.odt).

If you have evidence in a format we don't support yet, let us know and we'll look at it.
