We ask before telling a company something personal

If mentioning a disability, health condition or other sensitive detail would strengthen your complaint, we now ask you first instead of deciding for you.

PrivacyLetters

Sometimes a personal detail genuinely strengthens a complaint. A company's duty to make reasonable adjustments is a real legal argument, and it only works if they know.

But that is your information, and telling a company you have never met that you are disabled is a decision that belongs to you.

What changed

When a detail like that would help your case, we ask before including it. You see exactly what would be said and choose. Say no and the letter is written without it.

Nothing sensitive goes into a letter on our judgement alone.
