Laws that protect you
Consumer Rights Act 2015
Vehicles must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. You can reject within 30 days.
Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 2002
Dealers must accurately represent a vehicle’s registration and history.
Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
Prohibits misleading actions and omissions, including clocking or hiding vehicle history.
Tips for Lookers complaints

- Keep all paperwork - adverts, emails, warranty documents, and service history
